Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Linda from Silly Little Mischief that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.
The Village Effect by Susan Pinker
Troy Chimneys by Margaret Kennedy
The Far Pavilions by M.M. Kaye
Panic in a Suitcase by Yelena Akhtiorskaya
Sailing to Sarantium by Guy Gavriel Kay
Popular by Maya Van Wagenen
What did you pick up this week?
I picked up
How to be a Heroine, by Samantha Ellis
My Salinger Year, by Joanna Rakoff
A Spy Among Friends, by Ben Macintyre.
Oooo, The Far Pavilions. I read that when it was new, and loved loved loved it. An epic adventure/romance in all the right ways.
Popular looks interesting. Enjoy your loot!
You always have the most interesting collection of books! I haven’t checked much out from the library lately as I am trying to read more of my own books, but I did get a copy of A Kitchen in France, a really beautiful cookbook.
Today I picked up: Sweet Water by Christina Baker Kline, FIRST IMPRESSIONS by Charlie Lovett, and LAWRENCE IN ARABIA by Scott Anderson.
Ooh! I haven’t heard of ANY of these. Can’t wait to hear how you like them.
I didn’t think I’d get to it this week, but… just added my own Library Loot link to the Mr Linky! It’s all about audio books for me this week.
The Far Pavilions looks interesting, as do the other titles. As a commenter above said, you always have such an interesting collection of books out from the library.
