I love this library. I know I’ve said that before, but those were all lies. Youthful, fleeting fancies. This is true love – built to last. And how could it not? So functional and so stylish. Far too often bookshelves in magazines have almost no books on them. Not here. And I love the pictures hung off the shelves and the small television tucked away on the second shelf. It’s practical and beautiful, casual yet elegant.
Absolutely perfect.
I agree, all too often pictures of bookshelves seem to take into account only those people who own 20 books they want to show off instead of those that actually own a lot of books. These shelves look absolutely amazing.
And the shelves accomodate oversize fashion and photography books! I just wish I could see the titles…
I am in agreement! I love these shelves also! Great picture!
More to the point, it’s bigger than the shelf space I have at the moment. Definite cause for lust!
My first thought was how heavy-duty it must be! That’s a lot of oversized books in one place. I love the simple lines and how they get away with hanging the picture from the shelves. How come that looks good in other people’s pictures, but when I try it at home, it looks cluttered (or like I have too many books – ha!)??
Thanks for sharing. I always look forward to library lust day. 🙂
I agree, so so beautiful in a practical kind of way. I would love my shelves to look this way, too, packed and looking natural. As if the books really feel at home. Love those pictures hanging.
So beautiful… I love bookshelves when they are filled with books- they look kind of sad when they are empty!
I love pictures propped up in front of a packed book shelf – so this is perfection.
I love these book shelves, I feel I want to be there to browse through the books. It reminds me of the photos in ‘At Home With Books’: I never tire of browsing through these pages.
