Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Sharlene from Real Life Reading that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.
I have this week off work so have stocked up on lots of interesting things to read, with my only goals for my vacation being to read, swim, walk, sleep, and repeat as often as possible. Living the dream.
What did you pick up this week?
Reading Lorna Doone after all these years after watching the Richard Coyle version previously. In this case movie first really made the difference.
I hope you’re enjoying it!
I liked it more than I thought I would!
Looks like a good haul. I went a bit overboard for my son this week with 5 books!
Have a great weekend!

My post:
At my library this week there were children literally staggering out with dozens of books each. You’re practically a minimalist! (And presumably will be able to find all 5 of your son’s books when it comes time to return them, which might not be as easy for the parents of the borrowers I saw.)
Honestly, I had a reminder through for a book and I had a panic, but then I found it. I usually stop at 4!!
One of the libraries I visited in London was selling (mostly chick lit) paperbacks 5 for L1 and I bought ten. In addition to the books I got at bookstores, I now have quite a few books to squeeze into my luggage tomorrow without going over the allowed weight so I have been frantically reading at night so I can donate some to charity shops before I leave. I do not want to pay an extra $100 to American Airlines but I am enjoying the prospect of reading them all when I get home, although a few are gifts.
This is why I always travel with a partially empty suitcase when I go to London, knowing I’ll want to bring so many books back with me. I hope the midnight reading went well and you managed to bring you luggage down within the weight limits!
