Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Linda from Silly Little Mischief that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.
I am back! You want to know who is in no doubt as to my return? My local library branch. I went in and picked up the shelf full of holds that were waiting for me, no doubt to their great relief. I’m feeling slightly overwhelmed but in the best possible way.

No Picnic on Mount Kenya by Felice Benuzzi
The Sea Queen by Linnea Hartsuyker
Holidays in Heck by P.J. O’Rourke

The Seven Deaths….is a riveting read, Claire! A perfect read for this time of year so I hope you can get to it before your due date looms.
Glad to hear another endorsement for it! The loan period is a generous 3 weeks so I should be good – I’m planning to start it as soon as I finish my current read (Transcription by Kate Atkinson).
I’ve heard good things about Vox and Seven Deaths – enjoy!
Thanks, Cathy!
Gosh that’s a nice haul.
Thanks! It’s certainly going to keep me busy for a while.
I am on the long waiting list for The 7.5 Deaths (and wondering about the extra half death in the States!). I’ve just put Linnea Hartsuyker’s books on hold, which brings my hold list up to 15, all the library will allow me. Luckily I have a fair few to pick up tomorrow, so I’ll be back for more recommendations.
Yes, it is a strange modification, isn’t it? I always find it odd when different titles are used in different markets and this seems a particularly strange choice.
You got TONNES of great books this week! I really want to read The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle and The Sea Queen!
Yes, it was a red letter week for books! I have to say, I’ve just started Seven Deaths and I’m not quite sure about it but I will continue and see how I make out.
Let me know – it is on my towering TBR pile…
Good luck with all your lovely reads!
