I am obviously opposed to books being colour blocked and selected only because they provide an appropriate background for a room’s furnishings…however, I have to admit I love how this room looks. Mostly because of the ceiling. And the sofa. And the lovely bookshelves (which would clearly be better served if they were in my house and appropriately and respectfully stocked). Hate the window coverings though.
Sorry, not for me. I find that particular shade of hit-you-between-the-eyes blue far too garish, and the whole room oppressive. But I usually like your libraries you choose, so this is just a one off!

I like the library, though I also disapprove of color blocking books. But I have to agree with Margaret, the blue of that sofa is just too much.
Love this. Cozy but airy. And I usually don’t like blue for furniture or decorating but I could spend long days on that sofa. I think that shade of blue is gorgeous. Agree that the window treatments could have been better but I don’t think they’re terrible.
This room strikes me as lacking in light. Where’s the reading lamp? Not sure how I feel about the sofa, but the window treatment has to go.
I like the rug and the bookshelves and could spend some time reading on the sofa. But, ugh, books purchased for their colors. My relative owned a used and rare book store and a home decorator asked how much leather bound books cost per foot!
