This room feel very serene to me. I like the little half-moon bookcase at the back – I’m not sure with the technical term for it is.

This library is fatally flawed! They have put an enormous picture in the middle of all their books! If they removed that picture and installed shelving, they could put way more books and have a more successful library.

What a simply gorgeous room – absolutely love it! And all in my very favourite colours, creams, terracottas (or salmon, as Marilyn r refers to them) … just superb.

PS Jenny, I beg to differ re the painting. A landscape or seascape extends the view, right through the wall, so to speak. If those shelves were jam packed with books, the room would actually look narrower. The painting is in the right place, I think, and a lovely painting it is, too.
