I was just reading about Walking the Woods and the Water somewhere, and I meant to put on my reading list. Thanks for the reminder. I’ll be interested to see what you think of the Nevil Shute – I really like the first half!

  I have to admit I’m a bit sceptical about Walking the Woods and the Water. Most of the appeal of PLF’s books is his personality and his beautiful writing. Difficult things to live up to!
  
  I’m 50 pages into the Shute and really enjoying it.

Three books I’ve never heard of, but they all sound interesting! I checked out A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara and The Objects of Her Affection by Sonya Cobb.
