Same question! (And this is pitiful, but since I’ve been spring cleaning, I was also thinking about the dust up there!) But a library ladder and a long dining table in front of a window and with bookshelves nearby are all part of my idea of heaven… A lovely room.

I like this one! I wouldn’t mind climbing a ladder- just put the least-likely-to-re-read books way up there.

I like the way this room looks with the high book-shelves, the wonderful wood table, chairs, chest, rug and the windows.
I also question how one would reach the higher shelves, but if one put rarely looked-at books up high, it would work out.
I’d add a big comfortable easy chair for reading.
