Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Linda from Silly Little Mischief that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.
The Just City by Jo Walton – So excited to start this. It sounds fascinating and fun – a perfect combination!
Never Shoot a Stampede Queen by Mark Leiren-Young – I started this a few years back while on holiday and thought it was hilarious. But it was an ebook and I wasn’t able to finish it before the loan expired. Time to try again.
Sway by Kat Spears – I don’t read a lot of YA but I’ve seen this recommended in several places so I thought I’d give it a try.
What did you pick up this week?
I started Sway but it didn’t grab me. The Just City is a mind-bending ride of a book, as one might expect from Jo Walton. Waiting impatiently for the sequel!
Oh, let me know what you think of The Just City!! I got about 1/3 of the way through, another book distracted me, and then it had to go back to the library. I keep wondering if I should get it back — it wasn’t exactly a DNF by my rules, but definitely it wasn’t competing with the other goodies on my shelf. I wonder if I’d feel differently on a different day.
Sway is on my TBR pile. I hope you enjoy your loot!
I love the title of the second one! Yay for Walton. Enjoy!
