And so, gasping with relief, we come to the weekend. After a whirlwind week at work, I am delighted with the weather forecast which promises rain, rain, and a little more rain to top it all off. I want to curl up with a stack of books somewhere and, counter to the social activities of the past few weekends, ignore all other humans. At least for Saturday. I might miss them by Sunday, but Saturday as a hermit sounds rather nice. Especially since I saw that my inter-library hold on a D.E. Stevenson book I haven’t read has just come in. This is clearly a sign that the universe supports my weekend plans.
Weekend Planning

Enjoy! We’re finally getting some sun, and a little warmer weather – and I just want to stay inside and read.
Very nicely said.
Sounds lovely! I hope you get some wonderful reading in.
Our 8 to 10 inches of Saturday snow seems to be turning into 4 inches of Saturday slush but once I contemplate being a hermit I would find it just so wrong to change those plans, so I’ll be joining you…
Your weekend plans sound perfect!
Enjoy!
That painting is stunning.
Yes! Ditto! There will be snow and rain here on Saturday, so I stocked up on food and water, and am going to curl up with Sarah Waters” The Paying Guest. I just started it and can’t put it down. I will be a hermit, hopefully, for the day and maybe part of Sunday.
The only requirements on being a hermit is having enough food and beverages and good (!) books.
I hope you got to have your hermity Saturday at least! We had glorious heavenly sunshine this weekend, after weeks and weeks of rain, so I spent at least five hours of this weekend lying out in the sun like a lizard, and reading books. It was great. A few more days of that and I would achieve perfect happiness — but alas, I have to go back to work now.
It didn’t end up being nearly as rainy as they said it would! I find that today I’m kind of jealous of the East Coast’s impending snowpocalypse! I wouldn’t mind staying home and reading all the books today!
