Such a warm cozy landing. I’m imagining an easy chair near that doorway or up at the top of the stairs. I have enjoyed all your Library Lust posts this year, Claire. They are fun, inspiring and a treat on my weekends. Merry, merry!:)

Oh, this is really wonderful. It reminds me of the bookcase-lined stairway at my grandparents’ house. They always had these wonderful old children’s books tucked in among the boring grownup books… I am remembering The Outdoor Girls. Thanks for the totally unexpected memories!!

I like books on the stairs, though I do prefer them in a room with comfy chairs and sofas. I too love these posts — keep them coming!

I logged onto the picture of this library and saw the rest of this amazing house … it’s gorgeous.
