You couldn’t curl up (or even sit properly for long) on any of the furniture, but I’d forgive a lot for a library ladder. I love the ottoman. (Other than that, I’d just redecorate this room after inheriting it.)
Not keen on this … don’t card for the dark chocolate brown shelves which I think would look ideal in a shop selling tea and coffee and, well, chocolates, but I wouldn’t want them in my home. The ottoman is rather good, but I wouldn’t have that hairy thing on it under that pile of books – instead, a tray on which I could put cups and glasses without fear of upsetting them on the fabric of the ottoman. However, nothing looks particularly comfortable – a bench style settee, and hard back chairs … no, sadly, elegant but not for me.
I love this series, but I’m afraid this one doesn’t appeal to me. Margaret has said it all, really — I don’t like the dark shelves and also not keen on the mixture of books and other objects, which make it look sort of designed rather then as if it belonged to a proper reader. And nowhere comfortable to sit! Not for me, though it would be great to have so much shelf space.

I can’t say I love it, but, I can say I would make it mine. It has good “bones” , just a different personality than mine.
I know I’ve said it before, so forgive me, but, your LibraryLust posts always usher in my weekends in the nicest of ways. Thank you.
