Looks good. Maybe higher backs on the chairs – yes – plus foot stools – I see one artistically arranged with books so points there. And the nicely placed window for over-theshoulder reading light and that fireplace – oh, yes!
Oh yes, you had me at “fireplace.” Just the thought of being able to look up from the pages of one’s book (or even the screen of one’s e-reader) and stare into the flames and glowing embers of the fire, digesting what’s just been read — Heaven!!

With lower backs, you can see more of the books 🙂

I love this room. Even though I am in the middle of having my home library redone in a way that should be quite pleasing to me, I am so envious of the natural light in this room. I think mine is going to lack coziness despite all our efforts.

This is my favourite room thus far … love the style, love the colour, love it all. Indeed, I remember seeing the whole house but can’t remember in which magazine it was in (and I have so many, far too many to wade through, going back to the 1980s.) This is a winter room … think how wonderful it will be with the fire lighted, lamp on, a nice glass or cup of something soothing and, of course, a good book to read!
