Lucky thing that I am, I did not have to work on my birthday yesterday. I managed to have a busy and rather stressful day (good stress, but still stress) nonetheless but one of the least stressful and most delightful parts of it was an afternoon walk along the beach. It was a perfect reminder of why Vancouver is my favourite city in the world and why I would not want to live anywhere else. Especially in February.
Belated happy birthday, stress and all.
Gorgeous scenery for your birthday, that’s what you’ll remember from the day. Have a great new year!
Belated happy birthday, Captive Reader! The photos are really beautiful. Also, I understand that Vancouver’s central public library is fantastic. Is this true?
YES! That branch of the library is incredible. I used to work down the street and it was the only redeeming virtue of that job. You could spend hours and hours in there and still only scratch the surface of what it has to offer.
Oh, very nice! Happy Birthday, too! I’m so thrilled to see your pictures as I’m heading to Vancouver for a quick mini-break – my son is doing his Bee Master intensive & exam at UBC next week so I seized on the excuse to go along for a few days – though I will have to abandon ship and race back home to assist with the regional dance festival. We still have well over a foot of snow up here in the Cariboo – I am so keen to walk about in shoes versus snowboots! Even if it rains, I’m all set. 🙂
It’s true. No better city in the world on a day like that! A belated happy birthday!
What a gorgeous walk! Happiest of birthdays to you, Claire!
Happy belated birthday! What a gorgeous view.
