Life is good. Work has been busy but interesting, I have baked 1000 cookies in the past week (very small cookies, but still that was a lot of work), we had some beautiful (if inconvenient) snow here yesterday, and, most excitingly, my brother was accepted into a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program, which means that not too many years from now I’ll be able to call him Dr. Phillip. And we’re only a few days away from Christmas (and two precious days off work for me). Life is very good indeed.
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Merry Christmas, Claire!
And Merry Christmas to you, Audrey!
A very Merry Christmas to you & yours, Claire. (And 1000 cookies – I’m very impressed! I was going to bake yesterday – though not *that* many, lol – but we had more than a foot of snow, so I spent the day on the tractor plowing and on the end of a shovel instead. On the plus side it looks very much like Christmas outside right now!)
Merry Christmas, Barb! I am happy to say that all of the cookies turned out perfectly (and there are definitely not 1000 still left in the house!).
“Life is very good indeed.” It is always pleasing to hear people say that. Happy Christmas.
Not enough people say it, do they? But it is and I am thankful for it!
Merry Christmas, David.
I’m also very impressed with the cookies – tiny ones can take even longer than big ones, I think. I’m making Christmas candy – our family tradition – which is slow in the cooking but easier than cookies. A very Merry Christmas, which I hope will bring you some lovely books!
Tiny cookies are painfully time consuming. Thank goodness I only have to do this kind of intense baking once a year! Merry Christmas, Lisa.
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you, too!
