A book-lined mezzanine surely trumps all other mezzanines. And, to be honest, I am always fond of half-height bookshelves, no matter where they are placed.

I do like this one! The furniture looks very comfortable, and the kitchen is just handy for making tea. The deck also looks like a good place to sit out with a book and a cup. I can’t decide if there are stairs at the back & front, or just one set – and imagining bedrooms upstairs.
Just a little too white, too bright, too open-plan living, too everything. Books too far from where I would like to read them, but obviously great utilization of space.
Very neat looking space!
Hopefully the extractor fan works well and prevents the books from absorbing the smell of every meal cooked here.
Oh, I know what you mean, Claire! Somewhere early in “Felix Holt” there’s a description of “low ebony bookshelves” that makes me yearn. Imagine, ebony!!
I think this one is simply wow! I’ve got a mezzanine in my own flat – this gives me ideas!!!
