The traveller has returned! It was an amazing trip and I arrived safely home on Friday, exhausted after a month on the road. Though this weekend has been devoted to unpacking and getting back into the swing of things, I hope to be up to normal blogging speed in the next few days. Expect many, many photo-heavy travel posts in the coming weeks (and hopefully some bookish ponderings too).

I just finished reading How the Heather Looks, about an American family who took their two children to the British Isles in 1958 to look for places in children’s literature. The last chapter was about the Lake District. The photo you just posted was perfectly timed for me!
