Wow- absolutely amazing.
This is my vision of book hell, not heaven, sadly.
Very cool!
I think I’d find it a bit difficult to study in that library; I like privacy and sheltered nooks in a library. Although, it certainly looks clean and functional.
Impressive, indeed. I could get lost here for days.
Could get a lot of reading done there, if they allow tea and cushions and cats
Great photo and impressive yes, but I hate it.
It’s so.. large, empty and just sterile I guess. And where are all the books? D:
Much prefer the cosier feel with more shelves packed with books and comfy chairs and a warm atmosphere. :3
A brown study? My initial reaction was that it looks somewhat austere. I also note that they have a lot of empty shelf-space. I wonder if the photograph was taken shortly after they opened and they were still moving the books in?
Hi, Claire – I hope you’re enjoying Dresden. I was there in February and saw a movie being filmed at the stunning Zwinger. It’s called Grand Hotel Budapest starring Jude Law and directed by Wes Anderson. If you’ve ever seen Rushmore or Moonrise Kingdom then you’ll know that Grand Hotel will probably be pretty wild.
