Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries.
No books for me this week! I might be heading out of town for a couple of weeks so have suspended all my library holds for now and forced myself not to check anything new out. I have, however, spent a lot of time searching the library’s ebook catalogue and bookmarking titles I might want to read while I’m out of town. The only shame is that you can only “check out” five ebooks at a time – thank goodness I’ll have my computer with me while I’m gone and be able to download new books as soon as I finish the old ones!
Enjoy your trip and the ebooks (limited though they may be).
I picked up some academic titles from a local university library this week. Somehow, these excite me just as much as the novels I fully expect to grip me from the opening page. (Nerd! ;)) The Victorian section was magnificent. I wanted to move in and sleep among the books, although even I must admit this is not the most comfortable sleeping arrangement.
As long as I have a computer nearby, I am not worried about the five book limit!
Academic titles are just as fun, I completely agree. I love browsing the university library for just that reason. Whatever you picked up, enjoy!
I think we can only have 3 e-books but I could be wrong on that!
Enjoy your trip.
It is a little frustrating to have such a low limit when you’re travelling but, since I’ll have my computer with me this time, it shouldn’t be too bad. Not sure how I’ll deal when I head to Europe for a month this summer though!
Reblogged this on Law Essay Writing.
Again, why?
Enjoy your time away and the books you read.
Thanks, Cat! I won’t be away from blogging, just from home, so hopefully I’ll use some of my free time to catch up on my backlog of reviews.
Enjoy your time away.
Thanks, Linda!
Enjoy your trip! I like driving places and having the time to look around. And I also appreciate that with ebooks I can check books out no matter where in the country I happen to be. You’ll be jealous — my library gives me 20 ebooks at a time.
20? Wow! I am jealous. Right now, the limit is not too bad since I have easy access to my computer but I know when I’m travelling in Europe this summer I’ll run into some problems. I can use my family’s cards but that still only gets me up to 15.
