Another minimally furnished library but as this one is in Sweden it is at least somewhat understandable. It is not my style but I do love the round window and the reading lamp anchored on the bookshelf.

Another minimally furnished library but as this one is in Sweden it is at least somewhat understandable. It is not my style but I do love the round window and the reading lamp anchored on the bookshelf.
The contents of the shelves look a bit ‘rent by the metre’. Maybe they were going through a ‘brown book’ phase.
I love the wood floor and the circular window, but would definitely have to have a more comfortable chair.
The round window and lamp make it look like the perfect spot to read, don’t they? This makes me think of a cruise ship, for some reason. Maybe it is the row of books tilting starboard.
My reaction too, Vicki.
And I’m afraid the window is far too high to be comfy for me. I’d want to climb up on the chair and look out. And “look out!” is what someone would say if I did so.
Love the bookshelves; hate the chair. It doesn’t look at all comfortable. I wish I had a round window in my house!
Agree with all, only have to add the floor is beautiful but it needs a rug!
Very clean looking, but I’m with you, not my style. I always love a library that looks more traditional and has more ambiance.
Pretty! I wish I could have that many bookshelves all in a row. That would make me feel happy every time I looked at them. I have two bookshelves next to each other right now — it’s all I have room for, thanks a lot NEW YORK — and just those two make my heart happy.
I want that chair.
Functional, yes. But so is a frying pan or a washing up bowl. Not for me, sadly.
Oh I do like this one, clean, simple and uncluttered with a comfy reading chair and that great round window.
Not my style of a library. The way the books are arranged kind of made me dizzy.
