Anyone with books both on their walls and in their coffee table is alright by me. I also how striking the contrast is here between the books and the two statues that are also showcased in the bookshelves. In magazines, I am so used to seeing a mix of books-to-things that is more in favour of things; this, finally, is just right.
Looks like a lot of storage space underneath as well. Another interesting library. Thanks.
Looks very 1960’s to me, even the woman’s outfit.
I don’t like the sculptures at all, but I definitely agree with you about the books-to-things ratio!
All rather lovely with the exception of chairs which do not look in the least comfortable, either those upholstered or those made solely of wood.
Some people try to put books of the same height together. Alternatively, one often sees books descending in size further along a shelf. Have you noticed that here the pattern seems to be to go from tall to short and back to tall within each section? Each section resembles a gently sloping valley.
Love. And you are totally correct about the books:stuff ratio. My chairs would be different and where is the lighting? That is critical.
These shelves work. The outfit works. The chairs…a work in progress.
