It is my belief that you can’t go too far wrong when you add floor-to-ceiling built ins and fill them (mostly) with books. It is always a good look.

Lots of space for books but rather a cold looking room to me. The chairs might be OK for twenty-somethings, too, but I would like a bit more support and comfort. I will ignore the TV, although it’s hard to do that given it’s prominence in the room. All very hard surfaces (apart from two cushions.) And do I spy an indoor swimming pool next to this book room? A strange combination.
From the light over the pool, I think it’s an outside one. I agree that the chairs don’t look too comfortable, but then the books seem to be over-sized, coffee table books – art or reference books, perhaps? I do love floor-to-ceiling shelves.
I like it! At my age, it would take an afternoon to get out of one of those chairs, but, it seems like a restful spot and I have to appreciate that there are books. I look forward to all your library finds.
I’d lose the TV and let the kids have the chairs, but to only have to open the sliding glass door to be poolside to read would definitely be convenient. 🙂
I’d keep the television and lose the chairs.
