There is a lot of colour and pattern here and it certainly makes for a strong first impression. This has the look of a well-loved, well-used room that it would be a pleasure to spend any time in – especially with those two very comfy-looking sofas to curl up on!
With this weeks LL you have spoiled us, love this one.
What a comfortable room – I really like this one (might remove a little clutter before I sit down to read though!).
I like this comfy and used look and could easily curl up and read here.
“well-used rooms”, rooms for living and reading, thats what its all about!
Beautiful room. Lust is the appropriate word and all for a comfy couch and filled up bookshelf. Sad isn’t it. :-))
Lovely, but them shelves look like they are groaning under the weight of the books.
As much as I like the way this looks, I don’t know if I will ever shelve books by color in my own home. But I like the way it looks…mmmm
Love it, love it, love it! Colour and comfort, and books of course … so cozy, not too tidy, you wouldn’t upset the owner by making a dent in the cushions. This could be a summer or a winter room, ideal at all times of the year. Love it!
It’s funny…books on shelves add so much color to a room that I would be tempted to let the rest of the room be very neutral… but this just shows how well the opposite works! Somehow, having color everywhere you look seems almost restful somehow, here.
Love this room! Such a happy, comfy, and cozy looking space. I could spend many happy hours in this room!
There is nothing missing except the cat who will always be in my library. This one is spot-on!
Excellent choice. I love it, even with the suggestion of shelving-by-colour. I could totally curl up here (and my cat would be happy to join me)
I want to lounge here with my book and a cup of tea. What a cozy, inviting space.
