After long, busy days, when my mind is too frazzled to do any coherent thinking or writing, there is nothing better than a fun meme. To have a go yourself, just complete the sentences with the titles of books you’ve read this year.
I began the day with The Song of the Lark
On my way to work I saw Uncle Dynamite
and walked by The Dragonfly Pool
to avoid The Lions of Al-Rassan
but I made sure to stop at Merry Hall
In the office, my boss said “Howards End is on the Landing”
and sent me to research The Legends of Prague
At lunch with The Pastor’s Wife
I noticed The File
under A Mountain of Crumbs
then went back to my desk Unhooked
Later, on the journey home, I bought Wild Strawberries
because I have Far to Go
then settling down for the evening, I picked up The Unlikely Disciple
and studied Earth and High Heaven
before saying goodnight to The Demon in the House
